The Equipment Cage at the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg exists to provide students with access to media equipment and rooms required for their course studies at the school and to control and regulate the use of this equipment functioning to its fullest potential.
Through the Cage, students may check out a variety of equipment that is required to complete their class assignments and may be allowed access to rooms needed to complete advanced projects. Not all items and rooms are available to every student. It may be that you have not yet taken the required class or that the equipment is accessible only to another major. Chances are, we have the equipment that will work for you as well and we will help you learn to use that item to its fullest extent.
The following are the rules and regulations that you are required to follow when checking out equipment and rooms. These have been put together to keep the equipment and rooms in the best possible shape and to allow as many students access to the room and equipment as possible, while still giving as much freedom as possible to students.
